Here is one anyway…

Yea, that’s right, obama wants to bankrupt an industry that accounts for thousands of Pennsylvania jobs.

Yea, that’s right, obama wants to bankrupt an industry that accounts for thousands of Pennsylvania jobs.
Can this really be true?
Could a video where an Iraq war veteran endorses John McCain really have more than 11 million views and still have a 4 star rating?
Apparently the answer is yes.
Here is the video. It is poignant, concise, and heart felt:

It was meant to be a compliment, apparently, but it came off as Bill Clinton telling everyone that Obama was clueless on what to do about the economic crisis.
Here’s the original story and the quote:
“I haven’t cleared this with him and he may even be mad at me for saying this so close to the election, but I know what else he said to his economic advisers (during the crisis),” Clinton told the crowd at a Wednesday night rally with Obama in Florida. “He said, ‘Tell me what the right thing to do is. What’s the right thing for America? Don’t tell me what’s popular. You tell me what’s right — I’ll figure out how to sell it.'”
Yup, seems like he’s saying Obama was clueless on the economic situation and had to go to the Clintons (and others) for help. The part where Obama tells Clinton “you tell me what’s right — I’ll figure out how to sell it” sounds especially bad. Makes him sound like an empty suit, does it not?
Or maybe he sounds more like a used car salesman? You tell me…
UPDATE: here’s video of it, the key part comes at 8:25:

UPDATE: Hot air and Free Republic link to my post.
Allah Pundit at Hot air makes a good point. Yes, practically nobody knew what to do about the economic crisis so this shouldn’t be a huge deal except imagine if a senior republican had said the same thing about Sarah Palin (or John McCain for that matter)…
Also consider how strongly Obama has attacked McCain for supposedly not understanding the economy.
MORE FROM BUBBA UPDATE: During the same speech in which he dropped the backhanded gem above he also said this (The quote is at of the video posted above):
“He has executed this campaign in a way that is different from modern and forward thinking — something no one else ever could have done. He can be the chief executor of good intentions as president.”
I’m not sure what to make of it… but it sure is interesting.
Watching the video it looks like the part where he says that Obama’s campaign is different from modern and forward thinking ones was a screw up becuase he doesn’t finish that point and just jumps into the end. I think he was trying to say that Obama’s campaign was different from other campaigns that have come before.
The part that confuses me is the “He can be the chief executor of good intentions as president”. Is he really trying to say that we should vote for him because he has lots of good intentions? I don’t know, in context it seems as though Clinton is trying to say that we should vote for Obama because he has done a good job running his own campaign… However, that doesn’t sound any better than the whole good inetentions thing anyway.
But here is the video of it so you can decide for yourself:
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq-892g9qLQ
Contrary to what others in the conservative community might think it seems that Mike Huckabee isn’t trying to fracture the party or “stir up the same sense of grievance among the Huckheads that finding out Hillary wasn’t vetted stirred up in the PUMAs” it seems that Mike Huckabee is actually quite happy with the VP choice.
Here is the message he sent to supporters today:
By now I’m sure that we have all heard the Messianic claims of “The One”. You know, things like “this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal” or “a light will shine down, from somewhere, it will light upon you, you will experience an epiphany and you will say to yourself, I have to vote for Barack” (outlined ever so subtly in this McCain ad). And its clear by the undying devotion of the Obamatrons that he is not the only one who believes that he has “become a symbol of America returning to our best traditions”.
But it seems that Obama is tired of being seen as a mere Messiah and wants to go for a somewhat more mythical appearance. Or atleast that’s what the stage at his inaugural spe… opps, I mean nomination acceptance speech would imply.
You see Obama has opted out of the traditional setting for an acceptance speech, (you know, big American flag, flashy American styled graphics on big screen tvs, American themed confetti and ballons falling from the ceiling) for a style more fitting of a Greek god (you know, big greek pilars, 80,000 cheering worshipe… opps, I mean supporters in a massive stadium, an epic finish with thousands of explosions that light up the sky and leave people in majestic awe… otherwise know as fireworks).
But hey the Messiah tag isn’t Obama’s fault, its McCain’s, right? So this Greek god talk must be McCain’s fault too! Right, OK wait… No. Actually, Obama’s Greek god status is apparently nothing compaired to McCain’s wealth. Yea, that one is gonna stick…
So it seems that Barack Obama’s master plan to text all of his adoring obamatons with his vice presidential pick before anyone else was a complete and total failure (a lot like the pick itself). Yes, you heard it right, the plan heralded by “unbiased” reporters and preteens alike took a turn for the worst last night.
Yup apparently supporters who signed up for the special texts were not the first to be notified, despite the promise from the Obama campaign, and not by a long shot.
Some of the first reports in the media came around 11pm on the east coast and the conformations came to the media around 1am. So what time did the loyal supporters get their special notifications? 3am on the east coast… 3am, yea… great job picking a time to notify people who, at least for a while, liked you. (Even my little sister doesn’t text me at that time)
In case you didn’t take the time to do the math thats a full 2 hours after everyone else in the world already knew. Well, so much for that idea.
It’s too bad the wait is over though. It was getting awfully fun watching all the “professional” “journalists” fawning over their cell phones and waiting for what one can only imagine is their first text message (and one from their most favoritest bff ever none the less) as though they had discovered a sort of electronic botox or the 21 centuries fountain of youth.
UPDATE: Looks like the gaffe machine is up and running for Obama-Biden ’08…
UPDATE: Obama failure made even bigger in contrast to McCain’s VP roll out
UPDATE: 3am text… is it a possible Kennedy-like response to Hillary 3am ad? You know… ask not who can answer the phone for you at 3am – ask who you can answer the phone for at 3am.
