Liberals and “Insane rage”

I feel like I have to link to this story by Michelle Malkin (here’s the syndicated article) because the media has been pissing me off more than usual lately with their stories on how out-of-control, insane, crazy, hateful, bloodthirsty, evil, maniacal, vindictive, racist, nasty, vulgar, beast-like, and mob-like the crowds at McCain-Palin rallies have been.

Michelle’s piece is pretty comprehensive but its pretty impossible to catalog all of the insane acts liberals have been driven to by their own derangement. So I’ve decided to add two to the list really quickly.

First, there’s always the story of the nut-job Bush hater who punched a wheelchair-bound girl who has cerebral palsy. He did this at an event for Laura and Jena Bush’s children book… (New York Post has more details on this)

Second, there’s the case that I observed first hand in 2006 at the Chester County Republicans Headquarters on South Church Street in West Chester Pennsylvania. At the time I was the assistant grass roots coordinator, a volunteer position, for the Victory campaign and we were working out of that office. It was at that office that local liberals, most likely from West Chester University, decided it was appropriate to throw bricks through the front windows of the office not once but twice.

P.s. Awesome day in Football. Eagles win, cowboys lose, and I don’t have to listen to Olbermann’s annoying voice on Football Night in America (maybe NBC will fire him from that gig too, you know, since he sucks at it)!

Hey someone in the media finally gets it!

Shocking, I know.

But true.

Just check out Jonathan Martin’s article over at The Politico. Its about how McCain will be called a racist no matter what.

Sure its something that’s been obvious for months but, hey, give him credit for figuring it out at all.

P.s. Someone should send this to McCain and tell him to start making Rev. Wright an issue again. Its not racist by any means and its completely relevant.  After all he attended that nut job “church” for twenty years yet he still tries to claim that he has good judgement… its a joke waiting for a punch line. Start swinging McCain.

Congress finally gets oil drilling right, by doing nothing.

It took forever but Congress has finally caved and will not stop new drilling for off-shore oil.

Good news I’d say.

But, of course, as anybody who knows anything about government can tell you, there is still a mile of red tape to get through before anybody can actually go and actually drill for oil offshore. The biggest problem is in getting congress to pass a revenue sharing bill which cuts the states in on the money that drilling will enevitably bring in. Until then its doubtfull that the states will allow any drilling…

But I’m hopeful.

After all this is a winning issue for the Republicans and a loser for the Dems so the Republicans will push this as hard as they can until its settled and the Dems, as evidenced by the surrender on the drilling ban, simply can’t afford to fight back too hard.

So, as I said before, good news.

P.s. I can’t wait to see what this does to oil prices

House passes drilling bill!!! Oh, wait…

Yea… we can drill now. The only problem is that we can only drill where there isn’t any oil.

Oh and in exchange for getting to drill where there isn’t any oil we have to pay more taxes. And I say we for a reason, sure the estimated 18 billion dollars in new taxes will be leavied on the oil industry but, as anyone with half a brain knows, those taxes will most certainly be passed right along to us. Of course the Democratically controlled congress doesn’t understand that because well… they’re working with a smidge less than half a brain… collectively.

But, despite the facts, I can see the headlines tomorrow:

“House passes drilling ledgeslation! Democrats deliver and America falls even more in love with them”

“Democrats in congress win on energy, Nancy Pelosi is hero of the day”

“Nancy Pelosi steamrolls Republicans on drilling, everyone happy”

“Pelosi and Dems save America from energy crisis”

But here’s one headline you wont see:

“House passes 18 billion in new energy taxes, leaves 88% of offshore oil untappable”

Biden vs Palin so far…

So the number 1s have chosen their number 2s. Lets take a minute to make a video comparison of the two latest video from Joe Biden and Sarah Palin.

Here’s biden at a campaign event making a little gaffe and sounding just plain painful… (Bob Casey jr was negative 2 years old at the time)

And here’s Sarah Palin on CNBC sounding smooth and informed… plus she isn’t afraid to directly critique her own party.

McCain’s pick looks better and better every hour… can you say the same of Obama’s pick?

Sarah Palin, The most experienced?

So, now that the pick is in, its time for the Democratic attacks to start…

What about Sarah Palin (who went to the University of Idaho) will they attack you ask? Well, as Ironic as it is, her inexperience…

That’s right, Barack Obama and his surrogates will attack Sarah Palin because she doesn’t have enough experience to lead… boy oh boy. Now, any sane person will surely see right through this pathetic tactic (seriously, couldn’t they come up with anything better?) but I figure why not examine it anyway?

Well, it is true that Sarah Palin has only been Governor of Alaska for a year and a half. However, as Barack Obama pointed out himself once, Obama actually has less on the job experience that Palin since he basically started campaigning for president immediately after being elected to the Senate.

But beside that point, there is a whole nother aspect to this whole “experience” debate… an aspect that Palin wins hands down (even when compared to McCain).

And that is the experience of running a government. Palin is the only one who has any executive experience. She is the only one knows what its like to be the one and only person in charge of making the important decisions (from all accounts they’ve been good decisions) and accepting responsibility for their consequences. Being an executive is most certainly a whole different experience from being a legislator.

Palin’s executive experience adds a lot to McCain’s ticket… not to mention the many other advantages she brings.

Good job McCain, you have seriously made a winning pick. I am impressed.

UPDATE: Obama attacks but then backs off

Obama intro video: less than a minute dedicated to his experience

I just rewound my Tivo after I was surprised at how little time they dedicated to trying to establish Barack Obama’s experience in his introduction video. And I’m not kidding on this… it was less than one minute, and that includes when they were talking about his “community organizer” and state senate days. According to my rough count they spent about 20-30 seconds (my exact count was 20 but I’ll throw in a buffer) on his national political experience.

And even more odd than the lack of time spent on his national experience, because lets face it there just isn’t much, was how they choose to highlight his time in the US Senate.

After quickly mentioning that fought for “energy independence”, “Nuclear Proliferation”, and “Ethics Reform” the video cuts to US Senator Claire McCaskill saying “I watched him stand in the middle where alot of the senior members of the Senate were saying “hey, go away and leave us alone”, he wouldn’t”.

I guess that was intended to make him sound determined… but it doesn’t give any context. I mean why were they telling him to go away? What were the senior Senators talking about? Why did Obama want to talk to them so badly? Honestly, without an explanation it just makes Obama sound annoying (or determined depending on your perspective I guess).

In stark contrast to the time allotted to talk about Obama’s experience about 5 minutes were dedicated to talking about his childhood…

Things can’t be good for your party when the 10 minute video introducing your candidate at his acceptance speech only spends 20 seconds talking about his experience in national politics…

UPDATE: Best line of the night for me was when Obama claimed that he wasn’t a celebrity… while delivering a speech to 85,000 adoring fans… in a converted football stadium… in front of a set that looks like a temple… with a massive fireworks display at the conclusion

UPDATE: Nomination acceptance speech or Super Bowl half time show? You Decide…

Biden and Pelosi are called out for being… well… Liars

Pretty Pelosi

So it seems that Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are up to their old lying ways, again. (UPDATE: And Again!)

Added to her long line of falsehoods and mistruths (exactly like… um.. all politicians) is a fresh fabrication she made to Brokaw on meet the press. In a if-it-wasn’t-disturbing-it’d-be-funny kind of way she claimed that, on the issue of the Catholic Church’s position on abortion, “I have studied [it] for a long time”.

And what did the apparent expert on Catholic history and doctrine conclude about the issue of abortion?

Well when Brokaw reminded her that “The Catholic Church at the moment feels very strongly that it (life) begins at the point of conception”

She retorted him with her expert opinion that “I understand.  And this is like maybe 50 years or something like that.  So again, over the history of the church, this is an issue of controversy”

Now her comment of “and this is like maybe” might tip you off that she didn’t quite know what she was talking about but in case you weren’t sure here’s some helpful evidence that shes just flat out lying…

From the first written catechism of the christian church circa 70 AD: “You shall not procure [an] abortion, nor destroy a newborn child”

Then there’s what Saint Hippolytus said in 228 AD: “Women who were reputed to be believers began to take drugs to render themselves sterile, and to bind themselves tightly so as to expel what was being conceived, since they would not, on account of relatives and excess wealth, want to have a child by a slave or by any insignificant person. See, then, into what great impiety that lawless one has proceeded, by teaching adultery and murder at the same time!”

And then there’s the case of Tertullian, who is known as the founder of the Latin Church, who wrote this in198 AD: “In our case, murder being once for all forbidden, we may not destroy even the fœtus in the womb, while as yet the human being derives blood from other parts of the body for its sustenance. To hinder a birth is merely a speedier man-killing; nor does it matter whether you take away a life that is born, or destroy one that is coming to the birth. That is a man which is going to be one; you have the fruit already in its seed”

Now, of course, Nancy didn’t cite these fathers of Catholicism. Instead she cited another famous father who wrestled with “ensoulation” (not abortion, he thought it was always wrong). That famous father was Augustine and Pelosi tried to use his genuine and honest working through of the question of “ensoulation” to try and claim that her pro-abortion positions are acceptable to the Catholic church.

However, not only are her pro-abortion positions unacceptable to the Catholic church but they would have most assuredly been unacceptable to Augustine himself because he believed that “To deny that the young who are cut out limb by limb from the womb, lest if they were left there dead the mother should die too, have never been alive, seems too audacious”.

I think the best description of Augustine’s beliefs comes from The New Dictionary of Theology which states: “Augustine, while condemning abortion, wrestled with the question of ensoulment (at forty-six days for Augustine) and the formed and unformed fetus, concluding that there was no solution to this, but that the killing of either was to be condemned”

So this much is blatantly clear, the Catholic church isn’t now and never has waffled on its position regarding abortion. The Catholic church is and always was Pro-Life, not just over the past 50 years. This conclusion is supported by Archbishop Donald Wuerl who said “The current teaching of the Catholic Church on human life and abortion is the same teaching as it was 2,000 years ago”. (and no, I’m not Catholic but you don’t have to be just to know their consistent position on abortion)

But don’t worry Nancy, you’re not the only high profile Democrat to flat out lie about the history of the Catholic church’s position on abortion over the centuries. That’s right the new vice presidential candidate Joe Biden has a history of misrepresenting the history of his church in order to make it seem like his pro-abortion stances and his faith don’t really conflict.

In a 2006 interview he stated “That debate in our church has not morphed, but changed over a thousand years. It always is viewed by the church as something that is wrong, but there’s been gradations of whether it was wrong. You know, from venial or mortal sin, as we Catholics say, and versions of it”

Now naturally both of these remarks have pissed off many Catholic leaders and politicians. So much so that Biden has even been warned to stay away from communion by the Archbishop of Denver. I find these responses to be appropriate and overdue from the pro-life community.

I would urge the same kind of reactions from other prominent church and pro-life leaders. We, as a community, need to regrow a pair and start denying certain privileges from those who support actions that are so completely contrary to all that is good and decent on God’s creation… you know, like murdering your own children before they even have a chance to be born.

UPDATE: This isn’t exactly what I had in mind when I called for new action but atleast they are making a statement…

And here I thought the Republicans were the racially divisive ones, silly me

Looks like the Democrats don’t mind throwing racial slurs at each other…

I mean we all know they don’t mind tossing extremely serious accusations of racism at the other side without a single example or shred of evidence but thrashing each other that’s new!

Oh wait…

No its not. (I could go on and on)

UPDATE: Union leaders calling their own white members racist just because they don’t support Obama…

Best undercover reporting EVER

Moonbats
Moonbats

These videos have got to be THE funniest interviews I’ve ever seen in my life, and trust me I’ve seen some good stuff (like the videos at Newsbusters). The video’s I’m speaking of involve Jason Mattera (of Hotair.com) going undercover as a left wing nut job and interviewing the protesters at the DNC in Denver. While its certainly true that simply watching left wing nut jobs talk about….. well.. anything… is hilarious in and of itself Jason manages to subtly but masterfully lampoon the geniuses right in front of them without them ever catching on!

Now, inevitably, you’re going to read this and say to yourself… ok CP (that means College Politico for all you newcomers out there) ridiculing far left nut jobs isn’t the hardest thing in the world to do… even right in front of them… even without them realizing you’re doing it. And, sure, you would be correct because, I mean, lets face it, these people are so detached from reality that a metal shovel to the face probably wouldn’t faze them.

However, what makes these videos exceedingly enjoyable and sets them apart from, say, Fox New’s coverage of the protesters is just how brilliantly Jason Mattera absolutely burns the protesters while simultaneously making them his friends. These videos are the undercover reporting equivalent to Ali’s famous rope-a-dope tactic. I was brought to near tears by the amazing performance Mattera put on and I cannot wait for more.

But don’t take my word for it… check out the two posts so far (Warning: Some Cursing):
Encounters with the left
Marxists Unite!

My favorite lines so far:
Woman: “I have leg hair dude, I’m a human being. I have body odor and I have hair on my body.”
Mattera: “I think you have more than me.”
Woman: “Yea”

Mattera: “I think we need more atheists like you to tell the Christians what the bible says because they obviously don’t read it objectively and you can read it objectively”
Guy: “yea”

I will keep updating this post everytime a new video is posted so y’all come back now ya hear?

UPDATE: Ironic… Ward Churchill, who was fired for not being able to come up with original material, has shown up at an event which had to plagiarize EVERYTHING about itself (recreate ’68).

UPDATE: New videos!
